CPR Classes Forming

The Robertson Fire Protection District will be hosting CPR classes for our residents free of charge.  The classes will be held at our administration building located at 12641 Missouri Bottom Road.  Please call Medical Officer Darnell Wade to find out when the next class will be held.  We hope to have enough interest in the program to offer classes on a monthly basis.  MO Wade will have more information once we gauge the interest in the program.  Put your name on the list for the next class and let's save lives together.  The phone number to our administration building is 291-6671.

Can You Get Out?

It’s the middle of the night; you wake up in a haze with the smoke alarms blaring. What do you do? If you have a well-practiced plan your intuition will help guide you to safety.

Steps To A Safe Escape

1. Make a Plan

  • Draw a map of your home that includes all doors and windows
  • Determine two ways out of each room
  • Choose an outside meeting place, such as tree or light pole that is a safe distance from the house.

2. Practice

  • Run through the plan during the day, and at night at least twice a year.
  • Practice different ways to get out of the house.
  • Teach children how to escape on their own.
  • Close every door as you go through it.

If your smoke alarm does go off:

  • Get out of the house.
  • Never go back in, even for pets or other people.
  • If you have to escape through smoke, get low and go under the smoke to get out.
  • Call 9-1-1 as soon as you get outside.
