A Message of Thanks from the Board of Directors

On behalf of the Board of Directors, we want to express our gratitude to the citizens of our fire protection district for your overwhelming support in yesterday’s election. With 74.9% of you approving Proposition G, you have given us the opportunity to make vital investments in the safety and wellbeing of our community.

Thanks to your trust and support, we will now be able to build a new firehouse to replace our aging facility. We will be located in the heart of the district, so we’ll always be right here for you. We’ll be able to design the new firehouse from the ground up to meet the needs of a modern fire and emergency medical service. We will be able to provide improved working and living conditions for our firefighter paramedics, ensure space for the most up-to-date firefighting and EMS equipment, and allow for an efficient layout to enhance our emergency response capabilities.

As well as being a base for emergency operations, the new firehouse will serve as a hub for community engagement. It will include space for community events that bring us all together, for public meetings, and also for fire preparedness, medical, and safety training, and even a public weather safe shelter. We will be asking for your feedback and ideas as a key part of the planning process.

The success of Proposition G reflects the strong partnership we have been building between the District and the community we proudly serve. We are deeply grateful for your confidence in us and our commitment to maintain a safe, resilient community.
